Why VCC Matters

Responding to Community Needs

Singapore’s evolving social landscape calls for new spaces that foster connection, wellness, and belonging. The Vivekananda Cultural Centre seeks to address emerging needs by creating an inclusive hub for people of all ages.

  • 1Growing mental health concerns among ALL.
  • 2A rapidly ageing population requiring meaningful intergenerational engagement.
  • 3Digital lifestyles increasing social isolation and stress.
  • 4Strong demand for affordable arts, culture, and lifelong learning opportunities.

OUR INSPIRATION

Swami Vivekananda

“This is the gist of all worship—to be pure and to do good to others.”

The Centre carries forward Swami Vivekananda’s vision — that art, culture and service uplift the human spirit and bind a community together. It is in this spirit that the Vivekananda Cultural Centre opens its doors to all.

Singapore is a bouquet of many cultures. The Vivekananda Cultural Centre will be a place where every culture is welcome, every talent has a stage, and every visitor leaves a little more inspired — a gift from this generation to the next.
